Partition, divisions or sometime called "reorganization' is always very painful and leaves deep wounds and scars for generations.
Whether partition of a nation, state, family, fields, home or hearts, I wish it should never happen. Indians have never forgotten the bitter memories of partition of 1947 and the bloodshed that followed aftermath. Its this partition that we are facing the plethora of security problems and loss of precious human lives.
I have always detested the partition or division. I was very happy as long we lived in a joint family but was too shaken after divisions of our landed ancestral property. For me, land or jameen is like a mother and she can't be divided. But greed has no consideration and it can even 'murder' nearest relations.
I have deep sympathy with Kashimiris. A friend of mine from Kashmir, asked me the other day" How would you feel if your state was downgraded to UT and divided". I said, " Our sentiments would be deeply hurt and we would strongly react".
Whether Kashmir needed BJP style integration into India or not? it depends which side of the "One Nation, One India" proposition you are. India is plural and most diverse multicultural society where people, Here 122 major languages and 1599 other languages are spoken. Unity in diversity is the spirit of India. Partition, divisions or reorganization doesn't strength the unity in diversity.
The idea of partition was dismissed by the Sardar Patel. whom ruling outfit often quotes for its misdemeanor as Jinnah's 'mad dream'. To him the idea of seeing India divided was unacceptable. Sardar would have gone for real integration of the Kashmir, not for its partition.
Alienating even a small section of people is no solution in a democratic set up, It only leads to more and more uprising. If popular voices could be stiffed with gun, India would have hardly achieved independence from mighty British power.
Its not difficult to comprehend what follows next in Kashmir valley but we hope Modi govt next step will be to free the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and integrate it with our Kashmir.
