India has hardly buried bitter memories of 1984 anti-Sikh and 2002 Gujarat riots, Delhites were lampooned back to "structured violence" (BJP nomenclature) or pogrom, genocide and ethnic cleansing (social media descrpition). To me its "structured" ethnic cleansing and the subsequently "provocative violence". In any case, predators of Delhi violence are "corps'traders or lashon ke saudagar" and biggest enemy of the humans. They deserved to be ostracized from the humanity.
The live post-riot stories tell us how rioters (mostly outsiders) had chosen their targets and killed the innocents. More than 47 innocent people have been killed and 200 grievously hurt. What is surprising for two days Delhi police were nowhere to be seen and there are reports that in many areas, cops allegedly helped rioters.
Sadly, its still a mysterious from where the hordes of rioters came and how were they roamed freely despite presence of police in strength. And mystery also looms over the identity and whereabouts of the maroon t-shirt-clad shooter. Aiming at a police constable, he brazenly opened fire in the Jaffrabad-Maujpur area on Monday.
A total of 123 FIRs have been registered,so far, and around 623 people have, either, been arrested or detained for North East Delhi communal violence.
Time and again, there are riots and innocent people killed but perpetratorof the violence are never clearly identified and punished. It must stop. India has suffered a lot. No more now.
